What is Sex Addiction?

Sex is a natural part of life, this is true, but an over-dependence on receiving sexual release can be highly addictive in certain instances. Sex addiction might not seem possible to a lot of people, especially if they are having a lot of sex and consider it nothing more than emotional release with no consequences. Like with anything in life, too much of one thing can be dangerous. Sex releases a lot of chemicals into the brain, the kind that can make us feel happy; euphoria in all its glory. Those that engage in regular sex with a partner can find themselves being addicted to sex also.

Sex addiction is actually quite common, more-so than you would think. The triggers for sex addiction differ from person to person and will often manifest themselves in a variety of different ways. It might be that someone finds it hard not to masterbate to pornography daily, although being considered quite common amongst friend groups. Too much of this however and you will find a variety of different side-effects that will all play out whenever you are getting intimate with another person, thus rendering you in a position that is not fit for the ‘standards’ that you are used too.

When does drug addiction become a mental health issue?

One will know they have an issue with sex whenever they find themselves putting other things in their lives on hold in order to feel some sort of release. It might be that they are foregoing work in order to ejaculate first. This is when you know that there is an issue here. Side effects of an addiction to sex include premature ejaculation, low sex-drive amongst others. Although at the time you might not feel like there is an issue, there is clearly something wrong with you and how you handle getting intimate with another person. This is when you should seek help.

A potential solution for sex addiction

Those out there who constantly live with nothing but sex on their minds might find that The Hudson Mind Theory (HMT) could be the answer they’ve been searching for. This theory allows one the ability to remove sexual thoughts from the brain itself, thus allowing one the ability to control their own moods and feelings internally. Imagine what life could be like with a much needed confidence boost, giving you something to take your mind away from sex. You will live a much happier life due to HMT.

This is a tried and tested method of self-evaluation that is perfect for those that happen to be suffering from thoughts of nothing but sex. The methods taught here can be applied in a variety of different settings that all work towards becoming a much more confident person.

Sessions for HMT allow one to counteract their woes rather quickly, and can even take place via Skype and FaceTime respectively. Previous patients of this treatment have noticed significant results from simply 1 or 2 sessions with one of our practitioners. To view more of our treatments check out our full list.
