Anxiety is a feeling, which is caused by worrying about future events and is now seen as a mental health disorder. As the feeling of anxiety grows, it can then be compounded with feelings of fear. 

The fear is very real as your brain moves into fight or flight mode as a response to the current thoughts of anxiety. The amygdala (part of the reptilian brain) responds to this imagined threat by increasing adrenaline levels in the blood, which causes your heart to beat faster and your body may even start to tremble.
