What constitutes Decision Making?

Whether you believe it or not, decision making is a very important part of your everyday life, both in and out of work. It can be very difficult to adhere to the pressures of decision making in order to make natural and rational decisions. If anything, a lot of people out there will choose the complete opposite in hope of coming up with a short term answer to a problem that requires a long term strategy. We all process different information in a manner of alternative ways, which to some can make the decision making thought process a difficult situation to get themselves into. For some, decision making offers no way out, it offers no palpable or absolute answer that these people are looking for; this is frustrating and will weigh on the mind of the individual, even going as far as to cause adverse affects to their morale and overall demeanour.

Decision making can put you in a creative loop, a loop that only leads back to your initial thought, offering no probable answer to your much needed question/idea. As you can probably guess, this is not a very healthy way of going about managing one’s self in this manner (especially if you work somewhere that demands you keep to a certain work flow). It can be a difficult job, breaking the cycle can be incredibly tedious if this is a regular occurrence in your life. In-fact the pressures of decision making, can manifest itself into your mental wellbeing if left attended. Short answer: yes it can if left alone. The pressures of decision making can create bouts of anxiety if left alone. This is not a healthy way of living as it will often cause built up aggression over time depending on the person and the way in which they exude built up pressure. This can cause one to lash out, and potentially lose their job or worse.
