What is Dyslexia?
For those that don’t know, dyslexia is an incredibly common learning difficulty that can affect ones ability to read and write, with spelling and grammar being the most affected. Dyslexia can affect anyone at anytime which can make it difficult in adults to understand their ailments. In children it can be micromanaged a lot better due to various school systems, but for adults it can be a very tiring experience. In some cases it can be seen as an embarrassing experience if you happen to be older.
Dyslexia isn’t like your normal learning disability, the intelligence of the individual is not affected, only their ability to learn is affected. It is estimated that around 1 in 10 people in the UK are suffering from dyslexia, which is relatively high. Dyslexia lasts a lifetime and will appear in ones life on a daily basis.
Can Dyslexia become a mental issue?
Dyslexia will always be a mental issue, this is why it is important to solve your own development within your own mind. It can be easy to just throw your hands in the air and give up, although in doing so you are forcing yourself to live your life in a rather dark manner. This is not a healthy way of living as you can probably tell. Anxiety will always be intertwined with dyslexia, which is why it is key to identify these issues early in order to work out the best ways in working through your own issues internally. You are the only one that can work through your own issues, which is why it is so difficult as people will often see no escape because they’ve never tried before.
