Migraines can be incredibly crippling for anyone going through one. Migraines are evolved versions of your more bog standard headache. The severity of a migraine differs from person to person. There are mild cases of migraines, although it is very hard to come across someone that isn’t in agony when having this pain. Migraines stem from a variety of different origins, something as simple as a flashing light can trigger a pain in ones own head. The length of these migraines again vary on a case by case basis, with some going on for hours at a time with no end in sight. Migraines manifest themselves within the mind of the individual, they are very much the personification of a multiplied headache, and will often appear when you least expect it.
When one feels themselves getting a migraine, the best course of action is to take some form of medication. From this point moving forwards, one should avoid any and all strong lights possible as they will only cause more pain. Pain can very depending on the stage of the migraine. This pain can come in waves, with each stage being as vibrant as the last.
When can a migraine become a mental health issue?
If migraines are a repeated issue within one’s own head, then they might see themselves become slightly anxious when they go about their everyday lives. Anxiety can lead to bouts of depression, especially if this is a repeated issue as we just stated. Migraines can be crippling enough on their own, which makes it incredibly taxing to the morale of the individual should they suffer with severe symptoms. This is not a healthy way of going about ones own life: living in constant fear of having a migraine appear when you least expect it. There is no set cure for a migraine, you either ride it out, or take tablets and hope that it resolves itself in due time, this can be incredibly frustrating. See below for a potential resolve to symptoms of migraines.
