Obsession compulsory disorder, otherwise known as OCD, is an anxiety disorder that will manifest itself within the mind of certain individuals. It is a very difficult thing to overcome, as your mood will generally swing like a pendulum; happy one second, the next you’re sad and wish to be alone. OCD will often affect individuals when they least expect it or need it. This is part of the reason why it is classed as one of the most important disorders in the world to treat. This disorder can be defined in two different ways.
The first is obsession, this can be a constant fight against certain images/thoughts that can cause one to feel distressed in some way or other. The compulsion side of this disorder is the latter, which causes one to do something in repeat succession in order to counteract that particular obsession. They might tap the an object a certain number of times in order to relieve this issue. Although it can be difficult to do alone. OCD can appear in anyone and at anytime, which is why it is important to know that this is not something you can contract or gain from doing something particular.
When does having OCD become a mental health issue?
It is important to note that OCD will always be a mental health issue. This is not someone people can control in their own fruition. OCD related episodes will often appear the you least expect it, making it rather difficult to control accordingly. There is no known cure for OCD which makes it incredibly difficult to comprehend in certain instances.
