What is PTSD? 

Post traumatic stress disorder is one of the most common ailments most associated with soldiers and victims of drastic trauma. Those suffering from PTSD will often replay the events in their heads which can lead them to act rather irrationally despite being safe. PTSD is an anxiety disorder that will play out in a variety of different ways depending on how well said individual can deal with these issues in their own time. Those suffering from PTSD will often be prone to various nightmares and flashbacks, as well as experience lasting feelings of isolation, irritability and guilt.

Those that suffer from repeated cases of PTSD might feel a sense of helplessness, as they play out certain scenes in their heads without fault. These scenes can be traumatic as they are disturbing which can only make it even more difficult to overcome. There are cases where people have adopted a complex form of PTSD, where their reality is completely warped, separating their mind from body in a sense as they live their lives within a constant circle. It is unknown how PTSD will affect the psyche of the individual. But what is clear is that if these issues are plaguing you, that you should seek guidance and help wherever you can find it.

When does having PTSD become a mental issue?

It is important to note that PTSD is always a mental issue, the only difference is how it affects each individual suffering. There are those that will go their entire lives in this pain, with no end in sight.
