Trigeminal neuralgia is defined as a random series of pains that affect the face of the individual. The pain here can be described as an electronic shock in the jaw and the teeth. These attacks can appear out of nowhere, often with no remorse as it will play a part in your speech as your face will go numb. These attacks can last for seconds, even minutes depending on the individual and the severity of their particular case. Most attacks caused by trigeminal neuralgia will only affect one side of a persons face, it will sometimes affect the entire face but again, this depends on the individual.
