Trusting others can be a difficult task, especially if you are someone who has various trust related issues. It might be that in the past you have entrusted someone with information only for them to go against your back in order to do the opposite in what they had promised. Trusting someone in life is one of the key ways in how we establish bonds as friends to others and vice versa. We also establish trust in family members who expect the same amount of trust in return. It might be that even a family member has wronged you by not being trustworthy, which can then cause you to remove them from your lives which could be a very difficult and taxing time on the individual, should they be that close to that particular family member.

But how can you trust someone fully? That’s simply a question that changes on a person to person basis, with even the nicest people out there proving to be rather untrustworthy in the grand scheme of things. Learning to live without these people or just not keeping them as close as you like could be the best course of action in moving on and living a much happier life for it. Trust issues often manifest themselves in a variety of mental health issues in a variety of different instances, of course we are all different and some will be more trusting to others than some, but finding these people can be a difficult task.

When does having trust issues become a mental health issue?

Paranoia will often run rampant within the mind of the individual if one happens to be suffering from repeated cases of trusting someone only to be stabbed in the back (metaphorically speaking). Anxiety and depression will also appear in that some will question why they have been treat in this way, when the blame lies in the individuals who have taken your trust and manipulate it for their own personal gain.
